Oak Spirit

Deep within the Haunted Woods, the trees are not merely trees.

The Oak Spirit dwells within the ancient oak, watching through a break in its leaves as you follow the distant light. She can see what you cannot—the path ahead, the presence hidden within the woods, and whatever waits near the house with the light on. Whether she is watching to protect you, to warn you, or simply to witness remains unknown.

Her single green eye is painted in watercolor, peering outward from between layers of sculpted oak leaves. Each leaf surrounding her has been entirely handmade from papier-mâché and air-dry clay, individually shaped and hand-painted to form the twisting branches and foliage of the tree.

Part painting, part sculpture, The Oak Spirit brings one of the Haunted Woods’ unseen inhabitants into the physical world—the spirit of the tree itself, quietly watching as you are drawn deeper into the woods.
